Week 14 of Major League Rugby saw the LA Giltinis face major adversity with roster changes following several injuries but they pulled out the victory against San Diego Legion. Utah held onto their place in the standings with their victory against New York while opening the door just slightly for NOLA or New England to have a chance at taking the second spot in the East.

Bill Meakes has had an extensive rugby career prior to settling down in LA with the Giltinis. He's been a standout center for Darren Coleman this season, but hours before the match on Saturday he found out that he'd be playing open-side flanker for the first time in his life.
