Luke Rogan and Amelia Luciano reach MLR Referee Milestones in Week 11

Luke Rogan Officiates 50th MLR Match

Luke Rogan, first began refereeing in his home country of Australia and was a member of the New South Wales Referees.  In 2018 he earned his first appointment in the center as an MLR referee and has been a mainstay of the MLR Referee panel over the first seven years of MLR.  His hard work has been recognized with Assistant referee appointments to World Cup Qualifiers in 2023 and this year's Summer Internationals.

Reaching 50 MLR caps is a credit to Luke's ability as a referee and his dedication to improve. This is a fantastic personal achievement for Luke. Amelia Luciano's First Match as an MLR Referee

Amelia Luciano, PhD.  Has been a member of the MLR Referee panel since 2018 and earned her first assistant Referee appointment on May 19, 2019 in MLR for the Rugby United New York vs Austin Elite Rugby match.  Throughout her refereeing career she has reffed numerous high level domestic club matches in the Women's Premier League, NIRA College Rugby, and D1A Rugby.  Most recently she took charge of the D1A National Championship featuring St Mary's College and the United States Naval Academy.  Her hard work has been recognized by being appointed as a referee for five Women's international test matches and numerous Women's international test matches as an assistant referee.  She is currently the president of the Ivy Rugby Conference and was also most recently the president of the New England Rugby Referee Society.

"Amelia proves that hard work and dedication pays off. Having been involved in MLR since its first season, Amelia has worked tirelessly to continue to develop and improve as a referee. Having come through the USA Rugby - MLR Pathway, her debut as a referee in MLR this weekend is fully deserved.
