Major League Rugby, North America’s highest rugby competition, and Mountain Quench, the Tennessee-based canned water company, today announced a partnership that will make Mountain Quench the Official Water of Major League Rugby for the 2027 season.
Cans of Mountain Quench will be on set for pre-game, halftime and postgame shows during Sunday Night Rugby broadcasts in 2027 as part of the partnership, in addition to every episode of Inside the MLR, the league’s official weekly podcast show. In addition, Mountain Quench cases will be present on team benches during every match next season, and the brand will be featured on social media with MLR players and coaches.
“Delivering top-tier hydration to our sidelines is essential, and we are thrilled to welcome Mountain Quench as the Official Water of Major League Rugby,” said Major League Rugby Co-President Alex Magleby. “Their dedication to natural filtration and quality makes them an ideal fit for our league as we continue to align with best-in-class partners for our athletes and fans.”
Canned in Dandridge, Tn., Mountain Quench sources its water from the Great Smoky Mountains, offering a smooth, crisp profile and natural alkalinity. With valuable trace minerals including magnesium, potassium, and iron, Mountain Quench supports hydration, electrolyte balance, and overall wellness, while its responsible BPA-free aluminum packaging delivers a premium product with reduced environmental impact.
“Rugby athletes push their bodies through incredible physical punishment, making real hydration essential,” said Tom Burns, CEO of Mountain Quench. “Partnering with Major League Rugby allows us to showcase our natural Great Smoky Mountain spring water on a national stage while supporting players with clean, mineral-rich electrolytes in 100% recyclable aluminum cans.”
Mountain Quench joins MLR’s growing roster of partners heading into the 2027 season, following an extension of the league’s broadcasts on the ESPN family of networks.
