MLR Mental Fitness
With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Major League Rugby has been running a month-long campaign - MLR Mental Fitness.
MLR Mental Fitness is in partnership with USI and Project Healthy Minds, and is focused on the importance of mental health being equal to physical health. With MLR athletes leading the discussion, MLR Mental Fitness is also about breaking the stigma around mental health with open conversations. Join the discussion on social media with #MLRMentalFitness.
All month long MLR athletes took part in conversations around mental health. In the first week of May, MLR players talked about what "being fit" means to them both physically and mentally.
In the second week, athletes shared what they do to mentally prepare for game days.
In the third week of May, a range of athletes talked about the importance of exercise for mental health, especially throughout the past year.
And in the final week of MLR Mental Fitness, players shared what they do on a daily basis to contribute to their mental health.
