Glendale Raptors 15 – 46 San Diego Legion
The San Diego Legion used an explosive offensive performance to down the Glendale Raptors 46-15 on Saturday afternoon.
The 46 points that the Legion (8-2-1) hung on the Raptors (5-4-2) are the most points that they’ve scored in the 2019 season. San Diego’s season-high in scoring came on the back of a six-try performance from five different try scorers. Legion Fly-half Joe Pietersen hit five conversions and two conversions to lead all scorers with 16 points while fullback Mike Te’o scored two tries to add 10 points of his own.
Saturday afternoon’s match brought with it massive implication in the Major League Rugby table. The five points that the Legion picked up in the big victory propelled them up into second place with 41 points on the season. Glendale didn’t pick up any points in the match and currently sit in fifth place, one place out of a playoff spot, with 33 total points.
Glendale will look to get back on track next week when they welcome Rugby United New York (8-2) to Infinity Park on Friday, April 26 while San Diego will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to take on the Houston SaberCats (2-8) on Sunday, April 28.
Utah Warriors 22 – 24 Rugby United New York

RUNY (8-2) used four tries to edge the Warriors (1-8-1). RUNY wing Connor Wallace-Sims scored two tries to lead all scorers with 10 points. Utah received tries from Gannon Moore, Tonata Lauti and Johnny Ika. Saturday afternoon’s win helped RUNY get back on track after a tough loss to the San Diego Legion a week prior.
RUNY picked up five points in their victory over the Warriors to propel them into fourth place with 37 total points on the season. Utah picked up a bonus point in the loss to give them 11 points on the season. They currently sit in eighth place in the league table.
The Warriors will look to continue their point streak when they welcome Austin Elite Rugby (0-10) to Zions Bank Stadium on Saturday, April 27. RUNY will travel to Glendale on Friday, April 26 to try to knock off the Raptors (5-4-2) for the second time this season.

The Arrows (5-5) jumped out to an early lead in the first five minutes of the match with Kolby Francis’ try. While the SaberCats (2-8) made it interesting towards the middle of the match, tying it at 21 points apiece at the half, the five tries that the Arrows scored proved to be too much for Houston to overcome.
Toronto picked up a valuable five points in the victory to reach 29 points on the season. They currently sit in sixth place in the league table and are hot on the heels of the Glendale Raptors who sit in fifth place with 33 total points after their Week 13 loss to the San Diego Legion.
