Olive Kilifi Reaches 50 Caps

On Saturday, May 6, Olive Kilifi became the 49th player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.

Olive (Warrior #82) began playing Rugby while attending Tyee High School in Seatac, Washington. He would earn selection for the USA Rugby High School All-Americans. He would attend and play Rugby at Brigham Young University.

Following university, he was selected to the US National team (Eagle #447) in 2013, debuting against Georgia on November 16, 2013. He played for the US National team in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. In total, he has earned 31 appearances for the United States.

As a senior player, he appeared for the Seattle Rugby Club from 2013 through 2020. He was also a member of the Sacramento Express.

Before joining the Utah Warriors in 2021, Ollie appeared in 17 matches for the Seattle Seawolves in the first two seasons of Major League Rugby. Following the 2018 Season, Ollie was recognized on the All-MLR Second Team as a tighthead prop.

Ahead of today’s match, Ollie scored five tries, has 206 ball carries, run 1134 meters, made 214 tackles, and has 352 ruck arrivals.

Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Keni Nasoqeqe of the Houston SaberCats, Matt Harmon of NOLA Gold and Charlie Hewitt of the Rugby New York Ironworkers.
