<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" dir="ltr" data-sourcepos="5:1-5:655;320-974">The US-eligible Lennon, who qualifies through his Ohio-born father, arrived in New England as a deadline-day signing on May 29th, 2024, joining fellow Bristol product Toby Fricker and New Zealand flanker Jed Melvin as reinforcements ahead of that year's playoff push. It proved to be perfect timing. Lennon made just 5 appearances in the 2024 regular season, but started all 3 of the Free Jacks' playoff matches. New England went on to beat the Seattle Seawolves in the Championship Game, and Lennon left his rookie MLR season with a title.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" dir="ltr" data-sourcepos="7:1-7:522;976-1497">In 2025, Lennon made 17 appearances with a career-high 5 starts as the Free Jacks defended their crown. After the season, he returned to Bristol on a short-term deal as injury cover for England international Harry Randall before coming back to New England for a third MLR season.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" dir="ltr" data-sourcepos="9:1-9:471;1499-1969">That third season was Lennon's best. He started all 10 regular season games. New England missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021, but Lennon's form stood out regardless: he was named the Free Jacks' 2026 Player of the Year.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" dir="ltr" data-sourcepos="13:1-13:268;2307-2574">His return to Bristol rules him out of the majority of the 2027 MLR season, should he come back at all.</p>
