Paul Mullen Reaches 50 Caps
On Saturday, April 22nd, Paul Mullen became the forty-third player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.
Paul Mullen began playing Rugby while attending Glenstal Abbey School in County Limerick, Ireland. Then, he moved on to the Kings Hospital School in Dublin, making it to the 2009 Leinster Senior Schools Cup final.

Before moving to the US, he returned home to play for Munster as an Under-18s, 19s, and 20s player. He was also selected for the Ireland U-19s.
He moved to the US to attend Texas A&M and would appear for the US U-20s in the Junior World Trophy. He played for Houston Athletic Rugby Club and Galveston Rugby Club, as well as making the 2014 Texas Rugby Union All-Stars team.
Paul first played for the Houston SaberCats (SaberCat #27) during MLR’s inaugural season in 2018. He would debut for the United States (Eagle #525) against Russia on June 9th, 2018.
Before joining the Utah Warriors, Paul played ten matches for the Houston SaberCats and five matches for the San Diego Legion (Legion #58).

So far in his career, Paul has made 101 carries, 594 meters run, made 281 tackles, and 536 ruck arrivals.
Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first forty-three players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Peter Malcom of the Seattle Seawolves, Eric Howard of NOLA Gold, and Mark O’Keeffe of the Chicago Hounds.
