Ross Deacon Reaches 50 Caps

Born in San Francisco, Deacon moved to Ireland as a young child where he began playing rugby with Enniscorthy RFC. He continued playing into his university days at University College- Dublin and would go on to earn his first selections to the USA squads as part of the U20 2013 Junior World Trophy.

In 2016, Deacon returned to the US and began playing for the New York Athletic Club. Ahead of the 2018 season he signed with Austin Elite and would move to Rugby United New York in 2019. Deacon made the move to Rugby ATL in 2021 where he continued playing in 2022. He has scored 11 total Tries in Major League Rugby though his 50 caps. Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps, and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first twenty-three players to reach 50 caps for MLR includes Cam Dolan and Devin Short of NOLA Gold, and Connor Cook from Rugby ATL.
