Teamworks Partners with Major League Rugby to Engage Teams and Players Across 12 Clubs
Teamworks will provide league staff and teams enhanced communication and collaboration for more than 600 players.
DURHAM, NC – [November26, 2019] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for professional and collegiate organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with Major League Rugby (MLR). Teamworks will centralize operations and logistics for the growing league, which added three new clubs for the 2020 season.
“Having a central ownership model means we have to process and track more than 600 players as they are all employed by the league,” said Dean Howes, MLR Commissioner. “We were looking for a solution that could handle a large amount of paperwork yet be flexible and adaptable enough to also do significantly more. With Teamworks’ reputation, we knew the answer to ‘Can we do this?’ was yes.”
MLR sees Teamworks as a valuable way to create synergy between the league and teams.
“Being able to house all our information on Teamworks and share it across all our stakeholders in a real-time, easily accessible manner enhances our engagement with players and staff,” said Howes. “We want to house as much of our League Operations as possible under Teamworks, and we’re excited to collaborate with Teamworks to increase our efficiencies.”
Teamworks is the trusted solution for rugby organizations around the world, including Rugby Australia, New Zealand Rugby and Sunwolves Super Rugby in Japan. Similar to MLR, these clubs save valuable time by engaging with their players through Teamworks.
“We’re excited to partner with MLR during a period of immense growth in national and global fandom for the sport,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks. ”With the whole league using Teamworks, players and staff across all teams will be easily engaged with League Operations and can focus their attention on winning.”
