David Tameilau Reaches 50 Caps
On Saturday, May 6, David Tameilau became the 50th player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.
Tevita (Legion #59) began playing Rugby at Peninsula Green High School. He would earn selection to the High School All-Americans twice and was also selected for the US Junior All-Americans in the Junior World Trophy. Following high school, he took his sights away from Rugby to play football at San Francisco Community College and West Texas A&M where he was teammates with Alex Tucci.
After graduating from university, he returned to Rugby playing for San Francisco Golden Gate and also spent a summer with the Taranaki Academy. Following his time with Taranaki Academy, he played for the East Palo Alto Razorbacks and Life West.
