Eric Howard Reaches 50 Caps

On Saturday, April 15th, Eric Howard became the forty-first player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches. Eric Howard (Gold #2) began playing Rugby his senior year at Earl of March High School. He continued playing while attending the University of Guelph; he played for the Guelph Gryphons, leading the team to three Ontario University Association finals. While also playing at University, he played club Rugby for the Brantford Harlequins and provincially for the Ontario Blues.

Eric earned his first cap for Canada (Canada #425) in 2016 against Brazil on February 20, 2016. He appeared for Canada at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. In total, Eric Howard has made 32 appearances for his country. He has played Senior Rugby for the Brantford Harlequins and the Ontario Blues.

Ahead of today's match in his MLR Career, he's scored 14 Tries, made 223 carries, has 1367 meters run, made 347 tackles, and has 577 ruck arrivals. Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first forty-one players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Mark O'Keeffe of the Chicago Hounds, Zach Pangelinan and Dean Muir of the Houston SaberCats.
