The Seattle Seawolves announce the departure of Head of Strength & Conditioning James Kimerer, who leaves the club after seven seasons of dedicated service.
Throughout his time in Seattle, James helped shape the physical preparation, recovery standards and daily performance environment for Seawolves players. His steady leadership and commitment to detail supported the club through a period that included five consecutive playoff appearances and two MLR Final appearances.
His influence, however, reached far beyond the gym. James brought professionalism, consistency and genuine care to the players and staff around him. From preseason preparation to match-day readiness and the demands of a long campaign, he was a trusted presence within the Seawolves family.
After seven fantastic seasons with the Seawolves, I’m incredibly grateful for the players, staff and everyone who made this journey so special. We’ve shared plenty of highs, lows, laughs and lasting memories. It’s been a privilege to be part of this club, and I’ll always look back on my time here with great pride and affection.
— James Kimerer
Over seven seasons, James was part of a Seawolves group that reached the playoffs in five consecutive years from 2022 to 2026 and competed in two MLR Finals, in 2022 and 2024. In 2026, he was recognized as a Seawolves Legend after reaching his 100th match as the club’s Head of Strength & Conditioning, a milestone that reflects his enduring commitment to the players, staff and club.
James has been an integral part of the Seawolves for seven seasons, consistently demonstrating professionalism, commitment and genuine care for the players and staff. His contribution to the club extends well beyond strength and conditioning, and we’re extremely grateful for everything he has given. We wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.
— Allen Clarke, Director of Rugby & Head Coach
The Seawolves thank James for all he has given to the club and the wider Seattle rugby community. His influence will remain part of the foundation he helped build, and he departs with the gratitude and best wishes of everyone at the Seawolves.
