MAJOR LEAGUE RUGBY ANNOUNCES NEW SPONSORSHIP SALES STRATEGY
The League has brought on a top sports sponsorship agency in Maestroe, as well as a new Chief Commercial Officer.
DALLAS (July 23, 2020) – Major League Rugby (MLR) announced today that Maestroe has joined a partnership with the League. Maestroe is one of the world’s leading sponsorship sales groups and will grow the League’s partnership capabilities immensely.
“We knew that Maestroe was a perfect fit for MLR because of their experience with challenger leagues,” said Commissioner George Killebrew. “Maestroe’s lengthy history and success with startup leagues made it clear that they’re qualified to find the right partners for our growing League.”
Maestroe is an expert in sports partnerships and specializes in High Growth Sports properties with clients including Beach Soccer Worldwide, the American Ultimate Disc League and the American Cornhole League, among many others.
“We are very excited to partner with Major League Rugby as they are the preeminent rugby competition in North America,” said Gabby Roe, President of Maestroe. “We look forward to contributing our expertise in the High Growth Sports space to MLR and providing brands the opportunity to be a part of, and benefit from, MLR’s continued success.”
Maestroe will be working in tandem with MLR’s new Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Yates. Yates has over 25 years of experience in advertising sales with most of his career at Fox Sports Southwest where he led local and national sales for the largest regional sports network in the country.
“I have worked with Mark for 20 years and he is the ultimate sponsorship professional and I’m happy to have him on the MLR team. His experience is a huge asset for our budding League and we’re already seeing his impact in new partnerships,” said Killebrew.
